Discover the new Megayacht Quay and Poet’s Lounge at Porto Mirabello. Welcome to Bellezza…

La Spezia, Liguria, Italy.
Porto Mirabello is the only dedicated luxury port in Italy that can host yachts up to 130 meters long. In June 2017 the number of moorings for vessels longer than 65m increased from 6 to 17, with construction work completed on the 11 new slips. This project will transform the Port into one of the biggest superyacht hubs in the Mediterranean.
The updated Megayacht Quay and multiple new facilities are available for superyacht owners, guests and crew. Members receive state of the art entry badges to gain access through private security gates, and Porto Mirabello is in the process of obtaining ISPS certification – International Ship and Port Facilities Security Code, a certification that is currently attributed to very few marinas in Italy. There are technical staff available 24 hours a day to assist with docking and unmooring and there is no need for additional manoeuvring to refuel, this can be done directly from berth using the two high-capacity fuelling stations within the Megayacht Quay.
Another improvement is the opening of the Poet's Lounge. A terrace with breath-taking views of The Gulf of Poets is available exclusively for those moored in the Megayacht Quay, offering a space to relax, enjoy the view and perhaps to indulge in a BBQ.
Twilight at Porto Mirabello
Access to the large Lounge had traditionally been gained through the parking and storage facility underneath the terrace. In June, the Sky Stairs, a staircase directly from the Megayacht Quay to the Poet's Lounge will be open, completing the convenient, private, elegance of this Quay.
For those who would prefer to dine on the yacht, there is catering available for large galleys and on board delivery via the ports online supermarket that launched earlier this year, making provisioning easier than ever for busy yacht chefs.
Also on the list of reasons to visit Porto Mirabello is the dedicated Wellness Centre and Spa that has recently opened this season where owners, guests, captains and crew can truly relax and be pampered.
Renovations are already completed on the main pier in the marina. Visitors can enjoy a new green design with palms positioned at the side of the pier and planters filled with local flora and fauna.
Savannah at Porto Mirabello
These new features perfectly compliment the facilities already available at the Port including a sublime 25m swimming pool, 11 restaurants and bars, a typically English pub called The Royal Mirabello which is a little slice of England where you can enjoy a good pint, and a fantastic shopping centre housing over 30 shops.
Porto Mirabello is a unique marina, built on the sea, leaving the coast intact. The Port is linked to La Spezia city centre by footbridge and offers users the latest technologies and all the modern conveniences you could hope for.
Owner of the Port, Alessandro Menozzi explained " Porto Mirabello is the ideal place for you all year round and from all points of view - Reception, service, attention, safety, privacy, relaxation, wellness, fun, cuisine and entertainment. At Porto Mirabello, everything is possible!
Porto Venere
We welcomed MY Savannah last summer who is typically a very transient yacht. She stayed for over three weeks and will be back this summer. This is a testament to the service and facilities we provide, and our beautiful location between Liguria and Tuscany."
The multi-lingual and effortlessly helpful Concierge office at Porto Mirabello will happily welcome any requests, suggestions and ideas, and transform them into personalised services. Staff will run errands and work hard to take care of all your needs. They also specialise in organising unique outings for guests and or crew, from mountain biking to kayaking and skiing to canyoning.
The Port really does have all bases covered when it comes to making your stay as pleasant and smooth as possible, and will endeavour to exceed your needs and expectations. Improvements and updates are continual in Porto Mirabello, so keep up to date via social media and the website.
